Position Summary:
The Architect is a senior technical position and is primarily responsible for guiding the technical approach and methodology of developers and systems engineers.
The primary responsibilities of an Architect include:
Development Guidelines and Direction
Development Methodologies
Unit and Load Testing Requirements and Guidelines
Specification Reviews
Code Reviews
Application Development
QA Communications
Coordination of cross product development
Infrastructure Usage Planning
Data Modeling Review
Application Design (where needed)
Design Reviews
Security Reviews
Promotion Management
Developer Guidance / Support
Help with candidate interviews
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
Development, including database platforms and application development suites
o Advanced experience with Oracle and SQL Server
o Extensive experience with .Net, C#, ASP.Net and Web Services
o WCF experience desired
o Experience and understanding of concurrency, multi-threaded programming, object oriented design patterns.
o Extensive experience building highly available and high volume web applications
o 7 to 10 years of multi-tier software development and design
Proven expertise at the Technical Team Lead and/or Architect level
Proven communicator and teacher
Fluent in database design/re-design, both in new and existing models
Experience with IBM Informix and Solaris a plus |
