Apex Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a SQL Server DBA for a position in Columbus, OH.
Job Description:
SQL Server DBA will be responsible for managing and administering the SQL Server 2000/2005 database. Monitor and maintain development databases including data refreshes, creating user accounts and space management. Monitor and resolve backup issues. Performance tuning at the system, database, application and query level. Participate in database upgrade and migration projects. On call support is required.
Job Requirements:
- Over 5+ years experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Strong performance tuning skills
- Strong database design (both physical and logical) skills
- Experience in the design and construction of databases
- Professional experience with *Always On* SQL Server 2005
- Experience upgrading SQL Server 2000 to SQL Server 2005
- Experience with failover clustering, database mirroring, database snapshots, fast recovery, and SQL replication
Preferred:
- Experience with other databases such as Oracle or Teradata
- SQL Server Certification
