We are searching for an exceptional individual to join an agile team of Teradata hardware experts. He/she will provide advanced-level performance troubleshooting and problem resolution for Teradata computers, disk array sub-systems and tape storage sub-systems. They will act as the final escalation point for the Teradata Global Support Center for all hardware performance-related issues and provide leadership for crisis management. They are responsible for ensuring that Teradata remains a stable, reliable solution for the customer.
He/she will be challenged with managing complete Teradata product knowledge focused on hardware, firmware, systems, sub-systems and components, as well as user devices, drivers and networks. In addition, they will remain current on new technology innovations that influence Teradata*s performance, as well as quickly learning the impact of undocumented customer system configurations which support and interface with Teradata.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA degree in Computer Engineering; or an? Associates degree with field service experience
Minimum of 1 year hardware? service/support experience, working with board-level components
Experience? using command line syntax for diagnostics and configuration
US Permanent? Resident
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years hardware? service/support experience, working with board-level components
Experience? navigating in a Windows environment
2+ years experience in a shell? scripting environment
Hardware break/fix experience?
Hardware and/or? software testing experience
