Job Title: Project Manager - SDLC - RUP/UML - Agile
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 3 month contact to hire
Start date: ASAP
*5+ years of IT project management experience*Experience in Healthcare, Clinical, or Bio Informatics industries a HUGE plus.
*Demonstrated project planning and management skills with working knowledge of project management methodology and large scale software development
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentation and facilitation skills
*Ability to work effectively in a professional manner with technology staff, business stakeholders, end users, all levels of management and others outside the organization
*Strong persuasion and negotiation skills, including conflict resolution skills
*Demonstrated experience in creating and leading cross-functional project teams
*Ability to simultaneously oversee multiple-related parallel projects *Experience with leading projects that are part of a broader portfolio or program and coordinating delivery other projects outside of their control or prevue
*Knowledge/experience leading enterprise-class initiatives
*Strong background and acumen in Software Development projects *Ability to "get technical" and communicate get down to details with analysis and development staff
*Adept at interacting and communicating with multiple constituents at different levels of an organization, from the most senior leadership down to hands-on resources.
*Experience with multiple SDLCs with a focus on RUP/UML along with some exposure to Agile
*Ability to mentor junior project managers and project coordinators *Experience providing direction to multiple work streams
*Ability to adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
*Ability to be flexible when working with a new PMO, team members and new PM methodologies
*Attention to detail with a quality focus
*Strong organizational skills
