Job Description:
Client is looking for core Oracle DBAs with 5 plus years of experience with Oracle 9i/10g databases to join their Enterprise Database Administration Team.
The position will entail all aspects of DBA functions, including Logical and Physical DB design, DB Backup and Recovery, Performance Monitoring, data migration between databases, DB programming and Technical Support to various development teams.
This position involves 24 x 7 support of around 30 production databases, ranging from a few Gs to 9T databases.
The database environment is primarily on Oracle with a few MS SQL Server databases.
Operating System platforms includes: IBM-AIX, Sun Unix, Linux, Open VMS and MS Windows.
The DBA team also administers Oracle10g Application Servers
Technical:
Experience administrating Oracle 9i and 10g databases and Oracle App Servers is required
Oracle PL/SQL experience is required
Working technical knowledge of SQL * Plus, SQL Loader, ODBC, JDBC
Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting and system performance monitoring/tuning
Erwin/Oracle Designer
Experience with Job Management systems and techniques
Experience in MS SQL Server databases is desirable.
Should possess a good working experience on Unix and MS Windows environments.
Open VMS experience is desirable.

Semiconductor manufacturing process knowledge a plus
