Required Skills
Candidate should have business degree or 5-7 years of business systems analysis experience including project methodology and software development life cycles. Candidate must have strong written/verbal communication skills, solid analytic skills, and ability to define business process change. Candidate must have a demonstrated background and understanding of banking and finance. Project management skills. Participated in complex application implementation in mission critical environments.
Required domain experience includes business analysis, process development, metrics and statistics. Working experience with MS Project, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Notes Mail are required.
Self-reliance, and willingness to 'own' problems through to resolution are key requirements for this position. Candidate must have the ability to deal with all levels of management in pressure situations. Excellent negotiation and issue resolution skills, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail. Candidate must be process-oriented and have strong organizational skills. Strong quality assurance and process improvement experience. Successfully implemented process development and improvement programs. Love solving business problems through the use of technology.
In the execution of projects, exposure to managing within the following technical areas required: Object-Oriented application development (C, C++, Java, .Net, ASP, JSP, etc.), client/server applications, SQL, relational databases (Oracle, DB2). A plus is server OS (Unix and/or Linux) exposure.
Experience with banking in general, statement processing, credit card processing, or plastics processing a plus.
Job Description
Provides system and business support for assigned production applications, conversions, and development projects. Performs and coordinates the analysis and design of business systems. Develops and maintains a thorough understanding of the needs of the assigned customer group from the business and technical perspective. Develops and manages project plans for multiple concurrent projects. Interacts closely with both clients and application developers. Responsible and accountable for the project management of small to medium scale projects.
Perform requirements management. Identifies, defines/creates, analyzes, and estimates business and system requirements for medium to large development/production support projects. Tracks successful implementation of system requirements in the application software including independent verification/testing. Tracks and reports system and business requirements completion. Identifies unclear/problem requirements that need management and client discussion.
Leadership skills and experience. Provide support to base team - Mentor. Will have project management responsibilities - develop project plans, write business specifications, and coordinate project resources and workflow. Develop solid documentation and methodologies for world-class application development/support.
Review existing production processes and helping to build the necessary infrastructure required to support the application environment. Assist in the resolution of production problems. Supports project deployments (Day 1 -> Day N Production) and supports on-call team is required as assigned. Notifies clients of problem resolution.
Assist in quality improvement activities, process development and improvement, gathering and application of metrics, and evangelizing quality initiatives. Be a "Quality Champion."
