Job Description:
Part of the Data Fusion, Processing and Analysis Applications Department specializes in the incremental design, development and integration of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse solutions for our customer base. We are strongly positioned in the federal government arena. We have an immediate need for a Microsoft ASP.NET and C# software engineer. Primary responsibilities will include programming ASP.NET web pages based on defined user interface designs with 3rd party and custom controls. Other duties include the creation of technical documentation (e.g. design documentation and product specifications). Business travel is highly unlikely.
Job Requirements:
1. Must be a U.S. Citizen
2. Four year degree required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of software development experience working in the ASP.NET environment.
4. Must be proficient in ASP.NET using C# and .NET Framework 2.0.
5. Strong understanding of overall .NET model (security, presentation options, business components, data access).
6. Strong understanding of ASP.NET, control and page lifecycles.
7. Detailed and hands-on understanding of custom Web-based technologies and systems.
8. Experience with other related Web skills, including working with Visual Studio and AJAX, HTML integration, and programming with JavaScript for client-side functionality (such as DHTML and client-side form validation).
9. Experience in Data Driven Web Applications with SQL, ASP, ASP.Net, ADO, ADO.Net, C#, JavaScript, SQL Stored Procedures.
10. Experience with version control (Visual SourceSafe and Subversion), project lifecycle management, etc.
11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Access, Microsoft Project and Visio is also important.
Additional Knowledge Desirable:
1. ASP.NET Web Services
2. ORACLE.
3. Information Assurance knowledge and experience a plus. |
