Responsible for leading the efforts to develop Alliances PMO. Specifically, the director will create the delivery best practices and implement those best practices across the Alliance organization. This includes all best practices from proposal generation through project closedown. The Director will also have responsibility for risk assessments, estimating, project management, financial management and will be responsible for all project delivery reporting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop delivery best practices (Risk Management, Financial Management, Project Management, Quality Management, Estimating)
Assess project health and create plans to correct problems
Create and deploy Solutions Frameworks that retain gross and net margins
Promote consistent delivery excellence across the Alliance business units
Work with Solution Architects, Practice Leaders, Account Managers, Project Managers, AVPs to achieve 100% compliance with all PMO initiative
Experience w/any or all of the following: J2ee app development, data warehousing, globale delivery, off shore development, erp
Develop strategic plan for PMO the includes, mission, vision, objectives, initiatives and long term strategy for the PMO
Create hiring profiles for all Project Managers and Engagement Managers
Create best practices training curriculum for all Alliance Solutions employees
Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality.

Education and Experience Required:
In addition to the standard set of executive skills, the ideal candidate will possess:
10-15 years of consulting experience
10-15 years of management/leadership experience
P&L experience in managing a successful services practice (Keane, CSC, CAI, EDS, Perot, etc..)
Experience scoping, designing and building Solutions
Deep understanding of the business context of IT and the inherent opportunities and risks |
