The selected candidate will work on a project to support the Insight analytical team
Provide system, network, and database administration support to the Insight analytical team. Ensure a reliable computing and network environment, as well as timely availability and integrity of terabytes of operational data received and housed in the InsightLab.
RESPONSIBILITES
Analysis, admin and tuning of Solaris operating systems for optimum performance of applications, operational skills in managing large Oracle RDBMS & web server.
Develop automated scripts using Shell and PERL
Provide fault isolation/resolution of OS, database, hardware &TCP/IP network.
REQUIREMENTS
A working knowledge of DNS and Sendmail.
Programming using Shell, PERL. Experience in installation and configuration of large Sun servers and Hitachi storage.
Skill Set Required:
1)Administration of Solaris 10 Expert Required
2) Solaris Zones or Containers Expert Required
3) Redhat Linux cluster with GFS Expert Required
4) Veritas Volume manager Expert Required
5) Veritas Netbackup Expert Required
6) DNS, sendmail Expert Required
7) Programming using Shell Expert Required
8) PERL Expert Required
9) Exp. in install & config of lrge Sun srvrs Expert Required
10) Exp. in install & config of Hitachi storage Expert Required
COMPENSATION/COMMENTS:
$53/hr. - Plus APR Medical/Dental Benefits package, 401k plan, etc.. - benefits available shortly into this contract (30+ days - starting with the 1st of the following month of the start date).
If an offer is made, a 7 year criminal background check and Drug Screen will be conducted. Candidate must be pass both screenings to be hired.
