Contract Java/J2EE Programmer/Analyst Supporting Fixed Income Analytics
Description:
The Fixed Income Research group has an established systems for performing securities Analysis and need enhancements/new development to support the business requests.
It would be the responsibility of the Contract Programmer/Analyst to work with both full-time employees and consultants assigned to the Fixed Income Research group.
This position reports to a Project Leader.
Technical Skills:
• 6+ years of in-depth experience with Java, J2EE, App/Web Servers
• Strong experience in design and development of JSP/Servelet/ Web UI and Java/Swing based applications.
• Strong Database design skills and extensive experience with SQL and Stored Procedures (Oracle database experience will be a plus)
• Hand-on experience in Frameworks like Struts, Spring/Spring batch and Web Services
• Good exposure to messaging using Tibco, JMS
• Experience with the tools like Eclipse, Maven, Ant, JUnit, CVS
• Experience with UNIX scripting, autosys jobs and production support
• Strong “software engineering” mentality, thorough understanding of the principles of software development and coding standards
Business Skills:
The candidate should have knowledge of Fixed Income securities. Ideally that knowledge would include an understanding of corporate bonds, treasury bonds, mortgage-backed securities, residential and commercial bonds, Interest Rate swaps, derivatives.
Work Hours: Expected hours 8:30am to 5:00 pm.
