ettain group has a direct hire opening for a Flex / ActionScript Developer at our client site in Arlington, Virginia (Ballston Metro Access). Compensation includes salary, parking/Metro reimbursement plans, stock options, and potential bonuses.
Join a team of 4-5 other Flex Developers creating and extending components using Flex 2 and 3. Responsibilities include developing UI artifacts required to implement new product features while maintaining the highest quality standards during the entire development effort. Front to back end Flex Development experience and UI Design experience are required for this position.
Required qualifications:
4+ years experience in user interface and web-based applications (5+ years preferred)
Team leadership experience with a UI team
2+ years developing Adobe Flex or ActionScript
Developing reusable Flex components
Understanding of the Flex data models and integration with remote services
Strong visual design skills and a flair for developing UI components.
Experience customizing existing Flex components
Understanding of XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript development skills and cross browser compatibility issues.
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment with quickly changing requirements
1+ year experience with server-side web application technologies
Understanding of accessibility and web standards such as 508, W3C
Experience in graphic design for the web (Photoshop, Fireworks, etc)
