IT SOFTWARE Procurement Specialist
* Thorough working knowledge of Procurement policies and procedures.
* Experience buying Software and related Services and possesses knowledge of the Software market.
* Skilled negotiator with fluency in contracts.
* Can perform strategic, tactical and administrative activities surrounding the acquisition of Software.
* Provides high-quality procurement expertise, working cross-functionally with various internal groups.
* Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal customers and suppliers to gain their trust and respect.
* Uses analysis, experience and judgment in making sound decisions.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and stay focused on customer needs.
* Financial and data analysis capability.
* Experience with E-Procurement Tools (Perfect Commerce or others) and best practices.
* Possesses strong computer skills (MS Office Professional).
* Four year degree in a related field and/or procurement experience of 5+ years. (C.P.M. certification preferred).
Deliverables:
* Perform all procurement activities up to and including negotiating final contracts (s) with the chosen suppliers(s).
* Update, prepare and issue request for bid/quote/proposal/information documents to qualified contractors, transmit addenda, receive contractor offerings, prepare summaries, equalize offerings, negotiate clarifications, issue appropriate contracts, statements of work and purchase orders.
* Negotiate and finalize contracts with suppliers for Enterprise Software and other technology software products including Software Maintenance and related Services using approved contract documents.
* Coordinate the supplier selection process for Software and Services.
* Interface with Corporate and Strategic Business Group (SBG) IT organizations to determine and finalize requirements, implement and execute contracting strategies.
* Communicate essential procurement and business information to internal operations project teams including, business terms and conditions, pricing construct, procurement steps and timing.
* Proactively plan and execute procurement activity in a timely manner to meet procurement, customer and project timelines.
* Implement the commodity strategies to achieve lowest total cost and greatest value, continuous quality improvement, delivery, and supplier performance improvement.
* Manage supplier performance goals and objectives. Ensure Software procurement activities are processed through all required Corporate Procurement guidelines using appropriate tools and systems.
