Senior SAP Applications Analyst – Information Technology Department



We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior SAP Supply Chain and Reporting Applications Analyst reporting to the Director, ERP Applications. This is an exempt position, in the Team Leader/Consultant pay band category, and is located in Irvine, CA. The general requirements for the position are as follows:



Education/Training



· Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience in a Supply Chain discipline or Information Systems environment; Advanced Degree or Certification is a plus.

· SAP Supply Chain (Materials Management, Procurement, and Inventory Management) Certification a plus.

· Logistics focused BI/BW Reporting experience a strong plus.

· APICS certification a plus



Work Experience and Skills



§ A minimum of 5 years experience designing, building, testing and implementing business solutions in an SAP ERP environment with a focus on logistics reporting.

§ Minimum of 3 to 5 years demonstrated configuration and working experience with SAP in the MM area is mandatory.

§ Strong understanding of the MM integration points to Finance, Project Systems and Plant Maintenance a very strong plus.

§ Extensive working knowledge of configuring and implementing SAP procurement for materials and external services functionality required.

§ Technical expert in design, configuration, testing, and debugging of the MM module.

§ Considerable knowledge of business processes within the power generation and energy marketing & trading operation strongly desirable.

§ Able to identify changes in business needs and translate these into successful solutions through effective project and resource management.

§ Experience with full life cycle systems implementation methodologies –

§ Strong problem solving and analysis skills.

§ Team orientated with the ability to work and communicate effectively with users at all levels.

§ Strong Oral and Written communication skills a must.

§ Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.

§ Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.



Primary Responsibilities



The Sr. Business Analyst is responsible for evaluating, recommending, designing, and implementing solutions to address business requirements, as well as assisting the Supply Chain organization with the appropriate systems support of ERP based applications.



§ Perform post-implementation ERP support activities.

§ Continually strive to enhance or improve business systems processes that drive efficiency through use of best practices.

§ Evaluate, recommend, plan, execute, and manage the integration of new functionality, business process and data into our existing ERP environment.

§ Ensure that product upgrades, enhancements, and future roll-out projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements.

§ Liaise with Business Process Owners, software vendors, and EMG colleagues to address system related issues and integration of functional requirements into our ERP system.

§ Partner with business colleagues to generate cost benefit analysis for requested system and/or process initiatives.

§ Ensure production support service levels are met for all business applications.



Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:



This is primarily an office environment with moderate to medium noise levels. Occasional travel is required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve file information and lifts and carries reports and records that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.
