The BOBJ Developer position is responsible for design, development, implementation and support of innovative Business Objects solutions, including but not limited to: Business Objects, Crystal Reports, WebIntelligence, Xcelsius, Query Optimization
based on user requirements utilizing established methodologies and the standards adopted by the Company.
Qualifications
*3 + years experience developer with Business Objects XI, Crystal reports, Web intelligence & Full client (Deski)
*2 + years developer with Business Objects Designer
*2 + years leveraging Oracle/SQL Server/ Teradata
*2 + years demonstrated experience with formal data warehousing architectures and meta data management is required.
*Experience with portals such as SAP Portal, J2EE, and SAP XI is desired.
*Experience with other reporting tools such as Hyperion, Cognos, Microstrategy, etc. a plus
*Strong understanding of basic design, user interfaces, and platforms.
Description of Duties
Work directly with functional analysts and project members to develop new data warehouse functionality from business specifications by modeling, designing, developing, testing and implementing the appropriate back-end structures (including Info sources, ODSs, and Info Cubes) needed to meet business requirements.
Will create, modify, and maintain development objects related to the reporting framework. New application development and maintenance as required.
Responsible for all aspects of maintenance including system modifications, software upgrades, version control, quality assurance coordination, performance tuning, etc.
Always tests new functionality changes/enhancements in Development & QA clients before submission to the QA Team. Coordinates user liaison and business unit quality assurance methodologies and production implementation practices per corporate standards.
Collects required information from staff to create requested programming enhancements.
Able to provide technical support for all newly developed and existing functionality.
Able to assist and lead front line developers with developing BW and BI objects. Will need to assist with design specifications and review code prior to approving for promotion. |
